Both cameras have LCD screens and are available now.
The company has been busy and also rolled out a range of eight new MiniDV camcorders to accompany its still camera offerings. Pick of the pile is the NV-MX350 which comes with 3 x 570k CCDs for superior imaging, and a 10x optical Leica Dicomar Zoom lens. Prices will be announced imminently.
Other Panasonic goodies include an SD memory card slot, USB and DV-in/out sockets so you can copy your still pics and movies to your PC for editing. Bluetooth adaptability and the ability to send MPEG4 Video Mail movies complete the picture.

When looking at the film’s camerawork, you have to become aware of the shooting of the different scenes. Was the scene shot handheld or Steadicam. on tripod or dolly? Ask yourself why the director chose that particular type of camera support. Did the camera movement match the style and tone of the scene, or was it distracting? Camera movement adds depth and flow to a scene, but if the movement is at the wrong pace or time or in the wrong style, it can be very distracting.

Call an organization that has an event already scheduled, video cameras, like an environmental group that will be planting trees. Ask them if you can videotape the digging and say that they can use the video in the future to promote Mother Earth. Don’t forget to tell them you’re giving the video away for good!

Before diving into the world of raising money, figuring out tax-exempt status and getting an executive board, why not learn to swim with others? Starting out by helping charities with video is exponentially easier than beginning your own nonprofit. Take your camera, microphone and editing chops to an already established organization and get some experience.
So where do you find these charities? If you are already involved in the community, it’s a no -brainer. Just find a way to work your video wonders with the groups you already know.

Get a release form from everyone who is on camera. There would be nothing worse than having your nonprofit sued because someone didn’t want their face shown. By asking for a release, you are also making sure that it is clear to everyone that the video might be shown to the public as part of a promotion.
